UP IN SMOKE COLLECTION

Up in Smoke should be a very beautiful and soft collection , but it’s a bittersweet and raw personal narrative by designer Emma Maxwell. Its wafting smoke explores notions of love found, love celebrated and love lost.  The colour palate has a very delicate petro chemical hues of pink and blue… colours of romantic love, but also also harking to the fuel that is required to start a fire. Smoke wafts and flits though out the series, never actually igniting, but the viewer is always left wondering if fire will ever take hold.
